Lagos, Ogun Police taking battle to criminals after my advice – Primate Ayodele

Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has said that his recent advice to the Lagos and Ogun State Police Commands on tackling insecurity is already producing positive results.

Primate Ayodele had, during a church service penultimate Sunday, urged security agencies in both states to intensify operations against kidnappers and bandits by combing forests and bushes believed to be their hideouts.

According to the cleric, the police authorities in Lagos and Ogun have now commenced operations in the forests and bushes with the aim of dislodging criminal elements terrorising residents of the two South-West states.

Speaking on the development, Primate Ayodele said the ongoing operations confirm the importance of paying attention to divine instructions and prophetic guidance.

“I said something on Sunday as advice. I said Ogun and Lagos Police should go inside the bushes to fight the kidnappers and bandits, and they are doing it now,” he stated.

“They are on it right now. So, what am I saying? I am simply saying that when you listen to what the Lord says, it will help you.”

The renowned cleric further stressed that people often miss opportunities for solutions because they are quick to criticise men of God rather than pay attention to the messages they deliver.

“But anybody who refuses to listen to what the Lord says, the Lord’s instruction, will lose. Instead of listening, people start criticising and saying this one is not a man of God. Do you know who is a man of God and who is not? You don’t know,” he said.

Primate Ayodele has, on several occasions, offered advice on security matters and national issues, urging government authorities and security agencies to adopt proactive measures in addressing the country’s security challenges.

The recent operations by the Lagos and Ogun State Police Commands to comb forests and suspected criminal hideouts are seen as part of broader efforts to curb kidnapping, banditry and other violent crimes in the two states.
