Renewed Hope at risk: Grassroots supporters demand inclusion

Consolidated APC Grassroots Movement (CAGraM) has written an open letter to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, expressing their feelings of neglect and exclusion from political appointments despite their crucial role in his 2023 election victory.

According to the group National Vice Chairman, South West, Com. Kolawole Jamie Okedara, these grassroots leaders and volunteers who were the backbone of the campaign, dedicated time, resources, and voices to ensure Tinubu’s message reached every corner of Nigeria.

“Despite our sacrifice and unwavering commitment, grassroots leaders and volunteers have largely been left out of the political appointments that followed your victory. The people who stood firm when it mattered most now watch from the sidelines, unseen and unheard.

“We are proud of the victory achieved under your leadership, a victory powered not just by policies and promises, but by the passionate efforts of thousands of ordinary Nigerians who believed in you and the Renewed Hope vision.

“Your Excellency, we were the hands and feet of the campaign—the ones who walked the streets knocked on doors, rallied communities, and spoke to hearts. We gave our time, our resources, and our voices to ensure that your message reached every corner of the country.

“Out of this dedication, CAGraM was born—to unite these groups and strengthen our collective efforts in support of your administration and the APC,” he explained.

CAGraM is appealing to President Tinubu to include them in his government, appointing from among their ranks, and rewarding their loyalty.

“This isn’t just about recognition—it’s about inclusion. It’s about keeping the spirit of Renewed Hope alive by empowering those who carried it on their shoulders. These are not just supporters—they are believers, foot soldiers, and the living bridge between government and the people”, he stressed.

They believe this would not only be a gesture of appreciation but also a strategic move to strengthen the party’s grassroots engine for the 2027 elections.

Their letter emphasized the importance of keeping the spirit of Renewed Hope alive by empowering those who carried it forward.

They express gratitude and faith in Tinubu’s leadership while urging him to take their plea seriously.

“As we look toward 2027, the strength of your next campaign will again depend on the same grassroots engine. Including us now will inspire renewed energy and deepen our shared commitment to building a better Nigeria”, he stated.
