Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has sponsored a five-day intensive training programme on Digital Oilfield Operations and Data Analytics for 50 beneficiaries in Delta State, as part of efforts to strengthen youth empowerment and develop local capacity in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
The training, executed by XYZ Logistics, commenced on Monday, October 26, and is scheduled to end on Friday, October 30, 2026.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the management of XYZ Logistics, on behalf of NCDMB, said the programme was designed to equip young people in Delta State with modern, industry-relevant skills needed to thrive in the evolving energy sector.
The training focuses on digital oilfield operations, data-driven decision-making and smart field management, reflecting the growing importance of technology in improving operational efficiency and productivity in the oil and gas industry.
According to the organisers, participants will undergo practical sessions covering digital oilfield operations, data analytics, real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance and the application of data in enhancing safety, efficiency and productivity across oil and gas operations.
The programme is expected to strengthen participants’ technical knowledge and improve their readiness for emerging employment and business opportunities in the energy industry.
The beneficiaries, drawn from different parts of Delta State, expressed appreciation to NCDMB and XYZ Logistics for providing the training opportunity.
They described the initiative as timely and potentially transformative, noting that digital competencies are becoming increasingly important in the changing energy landscape.
