Duch TV Africa partners NigComSat for Global Satellite Broadcast

Duch TV Africa has announced a major step toward expanding its media footprint beyond online platforms and the African continent, as it moves to partner with the Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NigComSat) for global satellite broadcasting.

The development marks a significant milestone in the station’s long-term vision to transition from primarily digital streaming to full satellite transmission, enabling its news and programmes to reach audiences across Africa and other parts of the world.

Speaking on the initiative, Executive Director, Duch TV Africa, Gbenga Oloyede, disclosed that the media organisation is currently working towards securing a slot on the NigComSat satellite platform.

According to him, the move is aimed at broadening the station’s broadcast coverage and positioning Duch TV Africa as a globally recognised media brand.

“Our goal is to take Duch TV Africa beyond online streaming and continental borders. By joining the NigComSat satellite platform, we are positioning our brand to reach viewers across Africa and other parts of the world with credible news, informative programmes and quality content,” Oloyede said.

He explained that the expansion aligns with the organisation’s commitment to delivering professional journalism, impactful storytelling and authentic African narratives to a wider global audience.

Also speaking on the development, the Director of Duch TV Africa, Funmilayo Florence Babalola, revealed that the expansion strategy extends beyond satellite television broadcasting.

She noted that the organisation is also strengthening its digital media products, particularly Memonews Online Newspaper, to enhance news dissemination beyond Africa and deepen its global media presence.

According to Babalola, the integration of satellite broadcasting through NigComSat and digital journalism via Memonews will significantly amplify the organisation’s reach and influence.

“Our expansion plan is holistic. While satellite broadcasting will help us reach homes across continents, Memonews Online Newspaper ensures that our content is accessible globally in real time.

Together, these platforms will position Duch TV Africa as a strong and credible voice in the global media space,” she stated.

She emphasized that the media house remains committed to promoting accurate information, African perspectives and responsible journalism, while embracing innovation in content delivery.

The management of Duch TV Africa reaffirmed its dedication to professionalism, creativity and ethical reporting, assuring audiences that the global expansion will further enhance the quality and impact of its news and programmes.
