After the Accident: How Primate Ayodele’s prophecy came to pass

Prophecies are believed to offer insight into future events. They may come as warnings or as messages of good tidings, depending on their nature and purpose.

While those who understand spiritual matters often listen carefully and act on such revelations, others who rely solely on physical realities may choose to ignore them.

Since 2024, Primate Elijah Ayodele has reportedly warned world-renowned boxing champion Anthony Joshua to seek the face of the Lord over what he described as an unforeseen danger.

According to available records, the cleric cautioned that the boxer needed to take spiritual steps to avert the looming threat.

A video of the prophecy later surfaced, showing Primate Ayodele delivering the warning and urging Anthony Joshua to take decisive action to prevent the predicted danger.

The message, however, appeared not to have been acted upon.

Following the accident involving the boxing icon, questions have arisen in some quarters. Critics have asked whether Primate Ayodele did enough to personally reach out to Anthony Joshua or whether the prophecy was adequately communicated.

Responding to such concerns, Primate Ayodele maintained that his responsibility ends with the release of the prophecy.

According to him, it is not his duty to pursue individuals after making a prophetic declaration.

When contacted on the matter, the cleric reportedly said, “Meet Anthony Joshua for what? I have released the prophecy, and that is that. It is left for him to take it or ignore it.”

He further described the idea of repeatedly calling or personally contacting individuals after issuing prophecies as unnecessary and unreasonable.

In his words, once a prophecy is made public, the choice to heed or disregard it rests entirely with the recipient.
