Oyoland’s Grand Chief Imam hails Prof. Babatunde’s appointment as Oyo SSG

Grand Chief Imam of Oyoland, Sheikh (Barr.) Bilal Akinola Akeugberu, has extended warm congratulations to Professor Musibau Babatunde on his recent appointment as the Secretary to the Oyo State Government (SSG) by His Excellency, Governor Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde.
In a statement issued by, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Grand Chief Imam, Sheikh Akeugberu, Mallam Ibrahim Agunbiade, described the appointment as well-deserved, emphasizing that it reflects Allah’s divine grace upon Professor Babatunde.
The Chief Imam highlighted the new SSG’s exceptional educational and intellectual capacity, alongside his humility, loyalty, diligence, and commitment to public service.
“The appointment of Professor Babatunde as Secretary to the State Government is a recognition of his years of integrity, dedication, and service to the people of Oyo State,” the Grand Chief Imam said.

In his prayer, Sheikh Akeugberu asked Allah (SWT) to grant Professor Babatunde wisdom, strength, and divine guidance to discharge his responsibilities effectively.
He further prayed that his tenure would bring peace, progress, and sustainable development not only to Oyo State but to humanity at large, and that his time in office would be marked by monumental success.
Professor Babatunde, a seasoned administrator and scholar, is expected to leverage his wealth of experience in governance and policy implementation to drive the Makinde administration’s agenda, fostering growth and social welfare across Oyo State.
