Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, has expressed deep gratitude and renewed commitment to public service after receiving the prestigious Governor of the Year 2025 award from the Leadership Media Group.

The award was presented during the organisation’s 18th Conference and Award Ceremony held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja, where the governor described the recognition as humbling and reflective of the collective effort of the people and government of Kaduna State.

Speaking after receiving the award, Governor Sani said the honour represents the resilience, hope, and commitment of Kaduna citizens to peace, unity, and development.

He noted that the recognition also belongs to hardworking public servants across the state who continue to rebuild trust in governance and deliver meaningful change.

The governor commended the Leadership Media Group for recognising the administration’s efforts and paid tribute to its founding chairman, Sam Nda-Isaiah, describing him as a courageous visionary whose commitment to principled journalism helped build a strong national media institution.

He also praised Mrs. Zainab Nda-Isaiah and the organisation’s management team for sustaining and advancing the founder’s legacy.

Highlighting key achievements of his administration, Governor Sani said Kaduna State has remained focused on four critical pillars — security, agriculture, infrastructure, and inclusive governance.

According to him, the government recognised early that sustainable development would be impossible without peace and stability.

He explained that through sustained dialogue, improved security coordination, and inclusive engagement with communities, the government is restoring confidence across the state.

In agriculture, he noted that the sector has been repositioned as the backbone of Kaduna’s development strategy, with increased investment aimed at boosting productivity, supporting farmers, and expanding agro-processing and value chains.

On infrastructure, the governor revealed that the administration is executing over 140 road projects covering more than 1,335 kilometres, connecting rural communities, stimulating trade, and unlocking economic opportunities.

He added that investments in skills acquisition and empowerment policies are helping women, youth, and vulnerable groups actively participate in the state’s economic growth.

Governor Sani also expressed profound appreciation to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, acknowledging the president’s support to sub-national governments, which he said has strengthened development efforts across the country.

He further congratulated Oluremi Tinubu on her recognition as Leadership Person of the Year 2025, noting that her life of service continues to inspire hope among Nigerians.

The governor said the award has strengthened his resolve to serve the people of Kaduna State with greater dedication, promising to sustain policies and programmes that promote peace, economic growth, and inclusive development.
