Nigeria Police Force (NPF) is set to witness a significant boost in its infrastructure and operational capabilities, asĀ  Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, is to commission ultra-modern police barracks, buildings, and command headquarters across various states, including Adamawa, Sokoto, Jigawa, Nassarawa, and Katsina.

According to the Force Police Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, other structures, such as police stations, area command headquarters, and office accommodations, will also be commissioned in some states.

This move aims to create a supportive working environment for officers and enhance their overall well-being.

IGP Egbetokun has previously launched major projects to strengthen the operational framework of the Nigeria Police Force. Notable examples include the National Cybercrime Center, the Nigeria Police Resource Center, the new Jabi Divisional Police Headquarters, and the new Ogun State Command Headquarters.

Furthermore, the IGP has procured new operational assets, including Hilux vehicles, Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs), personal protective equipment, and anti-riot gear.

These assets are awaiting commissioning by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and will ensure that officers are adequately prepared to confront security challenges.

Through these initiatives, the Nigeria Police Force remains committed to improving the welfare of its personnel and providing them with the necessary resources to perform their duties efficiently. The ultimate goal is to foster a more responsive, accountable, and operationally effective police force.
