Mike Okiro: A strong contender for Ohanaeze Ndigbo presidency

Renowned Igbo leader and former Inspector General of Police, Sir Mike Mbama Okiro, has been endorsed for the position of President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization.

Okiro’s candidacy has been backed by several groups, including the Rivers State chapter of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, due to his impressive track record and wealth of experience .

As a seasoned administrator and security expert, Okiro has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, having handled sensitive situations like the OPC crises in Lagos State and the Hausa-Yoruba clash in Idi Araba.

His rise through the ranks of the Nigerian Police Force, culminating in his appointment as Inspector General of Police, is a testament to his dedication and expertise.

Okiro’s educational background is equally impressive, with degrees from reputable institutions like the University of Ibadan, University of Lagos, and University of Jos.

He has also received honorary doctorate degrees from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, and Novena University, Delta State.
