Governor Otti announces salary increment for teachers, commends Eze Aro’s leadership

Abia State Governor Dr. Alex Otti, has announced that he will sign the state’s 2025 budget on December 27, 2024.
The budget allocates 20% of the N750 billion to education and 15% to healthcare.
During the 2024 Aro Day celebration, Governor Otti revealed that his administration’s focus remains people-centered, emphasizing that governance is not about sharing money but creating an enabling environment for people to fend for themselves.
In a significant development, Governor Otti announced a discriminatory compensation package for teachers, which will see their salaries increase from N20,000 to N50,000 starting in 2025.
This move aims to attract and retain qualified teachers in the state.
The governor also highlighted ongoing projects across the state, including road construction, school renovations, and healthcare infrastructure development.
He commended the Eze Aro the 9th, His Eminence, Eze Dr. Eberechukwu Oji, for his good leadership and promised more dividends of democracy across the state.
The event was attended by illustrious sons and daughters of Arochukwu Kingdom and featured a performance by popular Nigerian music star Flavour.
