Special Assistant on New Media to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, who doubles as the Proprietor of Solsito Global Kingdom Stars Schools, Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area, Pastor Solomon Essiet, has announced scholarship slots into the Nursery and Primary section of the School, worth over 15 million Naira.

In a letter signed and delivered to the Chairman of the Forum of Ward Chairmen of All Progressive Congress, APC, Ikot Ekpene Chapter, Hon. Samuel William Akpan, Essiet said the scholarship is for children from the 12 Wards in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area, effective 2025/2026 Academic session, starting from September 15, 2025.

Essiet, therefore, requested the Ward Chairmen to nominate less privileged pupils, one each from their respective wards, for inclusion in the scheme.

Essiet said the scholarship will also go to 4 children from the 4 villages in his political ward.

He further said the initiative is motivated by Governor Umo Eno’s Educational Advancement programne.

From available information, the School has rolled out over 50 Scholarship slots to children from the immediate community and Ward 8, in Ikot Ekpene, where the School is located since 2015.

As a way of celebrating her 10th Anniversary, the School management equally decided to extend the privilege to other wards in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area, ensuring that more children are taken off the street.

Pupils nominated for the scholarship slots are to be enrolled, totally tuition-free, into Kindergarten classes, Nursery, and Primary section, depending on the age and academic ability of the pupils.
