FENRAD initiates comprehensive study on educational standards in Amaokwe Item, Abia State

Foundation for Environmental Rights, Advocacy & Development (FENRAD) in collaboration with Bright future for African children is pleased to announce the launch of a comprehensive study aimed at evaluating and enhancing educational standards in Amaokwe Item, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.

According to the Senior Program Officer, FENRAD, Mr. Michael Ahuanaya, recognizing the critical role of education in socio-economic development, FENRAD is committed to improving access to quality education, supporting teacher development, upgrading educational infrastructure, and advocating for inclusive education policies through the outcome of the study

The The primary objectives of this study are to assess the current state of education in Amaokwe Item Bende LGA of Abia State, identify key challenges affecting education quality and accessibility, evaluate school infrastructure and resources, analyze the performance and qualifications of teaching staff, and gather data on student enrollment, retention, and academic performance.

By addressing these areas, FENRAD aims to provide data-driven recommendations for policy and practical interventions to enhance educational standards in the community.

To achieve these objectives, FENRAD will employ a mixed-methods approach, including surveys and questionnaires distributed to students, teachers, parents, and school administrators, interviews with key stakeholders, observational visits to schools, and secondary data analysis.

This comprehensive methodology will ensure a thorough understanding of the educational landscape and the identification of specific areas that require attention and improvement.

The expected outcomes of this study include a detailed report on the current state of education in Amaokwe Item, identification of key challenges and barriers to quality education, and actionable recommendations for improving educational standards.

Additionally, the study aims to raise awareness among stakeholders about the importance of addressing educational issues and lay the foundation for further research and initiatives aimed at enhancing education in the community.

FENRAD looks forward to collaborating with the Ministry of Education, Local Government Education Authority, and other stakeholders to achieve the goals of this study.
