CP Tijani Fatai honours newly promoted Police Doctor with SP rank

Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, psc, mnips, has formally decorated Dr. Opeyemi Ojo, a medical doctor serving in the Nigeria Police Force, with his new rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) following his promotion and conversion from the Inspectorate cadre.

The decoration ceremony, which took place at the Command Headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos, marked another milestone in the officer’s career and reflected the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to recognising excellence and professionalism among its personnel.

According to the Police Public Relations, Lagos State Command, SP Abimbola Adebisi, the promotion was based on the recommendation of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc (+), NPM, and the approval of the Police Service Commission (PSC), which authorised Dr. Ojo’s conversion to the Superintendent cadre.

Speaking during the ceremony, CP Tijani Fatai congratulated the newly promoted officer, describing the elevation as a well-deserved reward for his professional competence, commitment to duty and invaluable contributions to healthcare delivery within the Nigeria Police Force.

The Commissioner urged SP (Dr.) Opeyemi Ojo is to remain steadfast in the discharge of his responsibilities, uphold the ethics of the medical profession and continue to exemplify the core values of the Nigeria Police Force through dedicated service.

He noted that the Command values officers who distinguish themselves through excellence and commitment, adding that such recognition serves as motivation for other personnel to remain diligent in the performance of their duties.

The Lagos State Police Command also congratulated SP (Dr.) Opeyemi Ojo, on the promotion, expressed confidence that he would continue to contribute meaningfully to the Force’s medical services and the overall well-being of police personnel.

The Command wished the newly decorated Superintendent continued success in his career and service to the nation, reaffirming its commitment to rewarding professionalism, hard work and dedication among its officers.
