Tony Okoh, Uyo
Managing Director/ CEO of Champion Breweries has described the sustained Megapop bar activations done weekly across Uyo and Ikot Ekpene in Àkwa ibom state as a bold step in the elevation of the Champion brand to the next level and extending support and solidarity to the loyal consumers of the brand.
He also opined that it was a calculated decision to step up the brand’s Visibility and deeply entrench their consumer connect and take the hype to the next level.
Addressing journalists recently after a successful one-bar takeover held simultaneously in Uyo at Afendia Bar and Southhills hotel, Ikot Ekpene, to deepen the already existing connection between the company and its loyàl consumers, Adoga said the decision to step up the visibility is here to stay, and goodies will reach all our loyal consumers.
He added, “We are determined to create excitement and bond more with our teeming consumers in a manner they have never seen before.”
Throwing more light on the recent acquisition of the Bullet Energy Drink by the company, the managing director highlighted that the parent company, Enjoy Corp’s, determination to build a world-renowned brand informed the decision.
” What you see is putting action to that vision, we are determined to become a pan African beverage company. Bullet is one of the biggest energy drinks in Nigeria with deep potential to do more, and we see that as an opportunity to leverage on and expand it to the next level.”
Dr. Adoga further explained, “This is a transformative moment for Champion Breweries. Bullet gives us scale, high-margin growth, and international reach. With this acquisition, we are evolving from a strong regional brewer into a multi-market, multi-category growth platform with international relevance.”
According to him, “To support the acquisition and future expansion, Champion Breweries is launching a N58 billion capital raise programme (N42 billion public offer and N16 billion rights issue). Proceeds are earmarked for funding the Bullet deal, working capital, market expansion, and sustainability investments.” He averred.
