Atiku Media Coordinator urges Peter Obi to Join Atiku for 2027 Presidential race

Coordinator, Atiku Media Organization (AMO), Prince Eze Ihedigbo, has called on the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, to join forces with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as his running mate in the 2027 presidential election.

In a statement made available to The Mirror, Ihedigbo stressed that unity among opposition parties is the only viable path to unseating the incumbent president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the next general election.

He said, “The only way to remove this current administration and its anti-people policies is through a united opposition. Peter Obi should accept the Vice Presidential slot under Atiku for 2027. That is our best shot.”

According to him, Atiku remains the most experienced and strategically positioned candidate to defeat President Tinubu, citing Tinubu’s own political trajectory as a case study.

“President Tinubu used the same strategy to come to power. He aligned with former President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015 to defeat the then ruling party. That alliance paved the way for him to eventually become president in 2023,” he stated.

Prince Ihedigbo urged Nigerians to support a potential Atiku-Obi ticket, saying it would “restore hope and set Nigeria back on the path to progress.”

He lamented the current state of the economy under the Tinubu administration, highlighting rising national debt, inflation, and what he described as “anti-people policies.”

“There is hardship, suffering, and frustration everywhere. This government has plunged the country into deeper debt, and the masses are paying the price daily. We need leaders who can rescue Nigeria from this economic and social downturn,” he added.

Prince Ihedigbo emphasized that 2027 presents a critical opportunity for the opposition to come together and chart a new course for Nigeria’s future.
