Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has affirmed the capitalization of Alpha Morgan Bank, marking a significant milestone in the bank’s growth trajectory and reinforcing its commitment to building a strong, resilient, and future-ready financial institution.
The affirmation underscores the bank’s compliance with regulatory requirements and highlights its strategic focus on strengthening its capital base to support sustainable growth, innovation, and improved service delivery to customers across the country.
With the development, Alpha Morgan Bank is poised to deepen its operations and expand its footprint nationwide. The bank currently has 14 approved branches across various states and aims to leverage this strengthened capital position to enhance financial inclusion while broadening its range of banking products and services for individuals, businesses, and institutional clients.
Industry observers note that the affirmation by the apex bank signals confidence in Alpha Morgan Bank’s financial stability and operational framework, positioning the institution to compete more strongly within Nigeria’s evolving banking landscape.
Commenting on the development, the Managing Director of Alpha Morgan Bank, Ade Buraimo, reiterated the bank’s commitment to regulatory compliance, sound governance, and customer-focused service delivery.
According to him, the capitalisation milestone reflects deliberate efforts by the bank to strengthen its financial foundation while aligning with long-term strategic objectives.
“Capitalisation is more than a regulatory requirement; it is an opportunity to strengthen the institution for the future. The affirmation of Alpha Morgan Bank’s capitalisation reflects the work we have done to build a solid capital foundation that allows us to support businesses more effectively, expand financial access and continue delivering the level of service our customers expect,” he said.
Buraimo further emphasized that the bank remains committed to maintaining strong corporate governance standards, sound risk management practices, and prudent financial management as it continues to support economic development and create long-term value for its stakeholders.
As the bank enters the next phase of its growth journey, Alpha Morgan Bank plans to scale up operations through increased investment in technology, expansion of its branch network, and strengthening of its digital banking infrastructure.
The bank also reaffirmed its commitment to delivering reliable and satisfying banking experiences to its growing customer base while playing a greater role in supporting businesses and driving inclusive financial growth in Nigeria.
