AKS APC Youth: When feces roller blames white linen for dirt

In the splendid golden era of Akwa Ibom State, where glory and grace converge to create peace, and ensure unity flourishes under the remarkable leadership of Pastor Umo Eno.

In the misadventures of politics, the  All Progressive Congress (APC) Youth have emerged as an extraordinary breed of enthusiasts. These are the individuals who, while rolling in the muck of political drama, have mastered the art of pointing fingers at anyone but themselves.

It’s a spectacle, a political circus where the clowns are adorned in party colours and the audience is left scratching their heads in disbelief.

As the party led by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu has caused excruciating suffering for Nigerians, the APC youth are holding the Governor of Akwa Ibom State responsible for the hardships created by the actions of their leaders, what an irony!

Picture this: a group of APC Youth, shiny-eyed and brimming with enthusiasm, gather around to discuss the latest scandal.

“Did you hear?” one exclaims. “The government is being criticized for its failures!” The others nod earnestly, their faces a perfect reflection of shock!

But wait, who are they blaming? Not the decision-makers who have been rolling in the proverbial feces of poor governance; no, they’ve turned their ire toward the white linen, the very fabric of accountability and compassion, Governor Umo Eno.

“Why must we air our dirty laundry in public?” they lament, as if the laundry itself had somehow asked to be stained. It’s as if they believe that the mere presence of criticism can somehow tarnish their vibrant party image. We can almost hear them saying, “If we ignore the mess, it’ll just go away!”

Let us turn around and blame the white linen for the sorrow and pains we are facing if our APC National leader could hear our cry.

Oh, the irony! Here are the self-proclaimed champions of progress, who sprint to the front lines of social media to defend their party, yet can’t seem to grasp the concept that the stains come from the inside.

Instead of addressing the issues of hardship caused by mismanagement, broken promises, they’d rather blame the fabric of society for highlighting their failures. “It’s not us,” they cry, “It’s the ‘opposition’ trying to dirty our reputation!”

Meanwhile, the white linen sits quietly, absorbing the surrounding chaos, like an unwitting witness to a crime scene. “I didn’t ask to be dragged into this,” it seems to whisper, “but here I am, the target of blame, while they are the real culprits and are prancing around,

And let’s not forget the classic defense mechanism: the classic “What about” argument? “What about the previous administration?” they shout, as if a history lesson could wash away the current stains. It’s like a toddler throwing tantrums over spilled juice, proclaiming, “But my brother did it first!

They would rather not speak up so that their party doesn’t blame them for throwing stones at their homes. But, trickily, they want us to express their thoughts instead.

They want us to tell Nigerians that over 2,600 people have committed suicide because of the hardships caused by APC leadership within a year of their worst governance, but they will not say it themselves.

They prefer us to ask the APC leader why he has raised the price of fuel to one thousand five hundred Naira, putting Nigeria’s economy in jeopardy. But we won’t be their microphone.

The APC youth wants us to blame their leaders for making the Naira a worthless currency, depreciating from 170 Naira per dollar to 1,640 Naira per dollar. We will not subscribe to becoming their spokesperson when they are not deaf and dumb.

The frustrated APC members want me to be the mouthpiece that air their grievances without compensating me for the service because they want the world to know that under their bad governance, a 50 kg bag of rice has increased from 12,000 Naira in 2015 to 86,000 Naira today.

Out of shame, the disgruntled APC youth in Akwa Ibom are crying out for someone to bear the burden of telling the APC leader that the transport fare from Uyo to Lagos by bus, which was five thousand Naira in 2015, is today fifty thousand Naira.

Though I understand their frustration, how can I help a man who wants change, even when the Holy book has clearly warned us to be cautious about those calling for change, as sorrow is ahead?

They were racing after renewed hope; now they feel as hopeless as poor orphans from the Sahara Desert.

APC youth in Akwa Ibom State cry no more, for you have a leader dress in white linen ,who has brought the golden era to you.

He is sharing food everywhere in Akwa Ibom State to ensure you can eat and not starve , even though your political party leaders want you to starve to death.

Governor Umo Eno is building houses for you, even when your party, the APC leadership , wants you to be homeless like stray dogs..

So far, he has completed 36 three-bedroom bungalows, and over 100 are almost completed, giving you a place to lay your heads.

Your lamentations has been heard by the compassionate Governor of Akwa Ibom State; that is why he is employing 5,000 youths through Ibom Community Watch. It is for all, not to PDP members alone.

He is not a wicked ruler like your Pharaoh-like leaders, who don’t value your lives and don’t care whether you live or die.

The leader in white linen has empowered over 6,000 youths with funds to establish enterprises and to expand their businesses and create jobs.

Recently, he has enrolled another five thousand youths to benefit from 50,000 Naira per month for one year, and he has established the Ministry of Youth Development to support the youth across the State not minding the political party.

You can also see that he is sponsoring many youths on scholarships, both abroad and within Nigeria. More so, he has established a Skills and Entrepreneurial Centre at Ikot Ada Idem to develop young people.

Let me not say more because I know you are very bitter with your National government leaders and not with Governor Umo Eno. Your write-up seems to be a cover-up to prompt us to express your thoughts to APC leaders.

That was a clever trick because you would rather not be held responsible for speaking up against your Party . At least we understand your predicament.
“Hahaha, you have entered one chance, but who sent you?”

As the APC Youth continue their peculiar dance of denial, one can’t help but wonder: will they ever take a moment to look in the mirror? Or are they too busy polishing the façade, convinced that if they shine it bright enough, no one will notice the cracks underneath?

The APC Youth, are masters of distraction, will keep rolling through the mess, always ready to criticize the white linen, while the rest of us stand by, popcorn in hand, watching the absurdity unfold.

The question remains: when will they realize that genuine change starts not with blame, but with accountability and good Governance, and not bad government with ugly policies?

Until then, the circus continues, and we’re all just unwilling spectators in this grand performance of politics of denials.
