Ajiyan Isa intensifies Eastern Sokoto outreach, rallies APC structures

Anene Aike, Sokoto
All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Sokoto East Senatorial District, Hon. Alhaji Umaru Ajiya Isa, on Wednesday continued his grassroots mobilization drive with strategic engagements in Gwadabawa and Wurno Local Government Areas of Sokoto State.
The meetings form part of Ajiyan Isa’s ongoing consultations aimed at strengthening the party’s structures and consolidating support ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Addressing party stakeholders during the visits, Ajiyan Isa described the outreach as a deliberate effort to deepen the APC’s presence across Eastern Sokoto and reposition the party for electoral victory in the next general election.
According to him, the consultations are also geared towards diminishing the influence of opposition parties, particularly the African Democratic Congress (ADC), in the senatorial zone.
The senatorial hopeful met with APC ward executives, secretaries, and other critical stakeholders, with discussions centering on party unity, internal cohesion, reconciliation among members, and strategies for a successful campaign in 2027.
The sessions were chaired by the Campaign Coordinator and APC Deputy Chairman for Sokoto East Zone, Alhaji Muhammadu Musa Sarkin Alaru of Illela, who urged party members to remain united and committed to the collective aspirations of the party.
Members of Ajiyan Isa’s campaign committee, political associates, and other party leaders were also in attendance, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening the APC’s grassroots structures across the senatorial district.
Party officials who spoke during the meetings expressed optimism that the renewed consultations and grassroots engagements would further solidify the APC’s support base in Eastern Sokoto and significantly boost voter turnout during the 2027 elections.
The outreach to Gwadabawa and Wurno is expected to be followed by similar engagements in other local government areas of the senatorial district as the APC intensifies preparations ahead of the forthcoming electoral contest.
