Nigeria’s leading sleep solutions company, Mouka Limited, has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing sleep health awareness, scientific research and product innovation through strengthened collaborations with key healthcare professional bodies in the country.
The company hosted separate high-level engagements with the leadership of the Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy (NSP) and the National Association of Orthopaedic and Manual Therapists (NAOMT) at its corporate headquarters as part of ongoing efforts to promote healthy living and improve consumer wellbeing through quality sleep.
The meetings provided an opportunity for Mouka and the two leading healthcare associations to review the progress made through years of collaboration while also exploring new areas of partnership in sleep education, research, product development and public health advocacy.
The NAOMT delegation was led by its President, Professor Adesola Ojoawo, and comprised Dr. Funmi Egwu, Vice President; Dr. Timothy Adeyemi, General Secretary; Professor Bidemi Tella, Faculty Member; and Professor Ayoola Aiyegbusi, Faculty Member.
Similarly, the NSP delegation was headed by its National President, Dr. Felix Odusanya, and included Dr. Adeoye, Vice President of the NSP Lagos Chapter; Dr. Goke Akinfela, Past Public Relations Officer of the Society; and Dr. Adejare.
Welcoming the delegations, Mouka’s Managing Director, Mr. Dimeji Osingunwa, reiterated the company’s dedication to improving the quality of life of Nigerians through innovative sleep products and sustained public enlightenment on the importance of healthy sleep habits.
According to him, quality sleep remains a critical component of overall well-being and must be accorded the same importance as nutrition and physical exercise.
A major focus of the meetings was the review of several joint initiatives that Mouka has undertaken with both associations over the years to educate Nigerians on the benefits of healthy sleep.
These initiatives include annual World Sleep Day commemorations, public enlightenment campaigns, media engagements, health advocacy programmes and community-based projects such as the First Baby of the Year initiative. The programmes have consistently sought to raise awareness on the role of quality sleep in maintaining good physical and mental health.
The discussions also highlighted the collaborative development of innovative sleep products that have benefited from the expertise and contributions of physiotherapists and musculoskeletal health specialists. Through these partnerships, Mouka has continued to improve its product offerings in line with international ergonomic standards and the evolving needs of consumers.
Another important aspect of the engagements centred on ongoing and future research initiatives being undertaken by NAOMT to further assess and validate the effectiveness, ergonomic compliance and health benefits of Mouka’s products.
Participants agreed that evidence-based research remains essential in helping consumers make informed decisions when selecting sleep products, while also enhancing public confidence in solutions designed to promote better sleep quality and musculoskeletal health.
Speaking during the meetings, Mr. Osingunwa noted that Mouka’s longstanding relationships with NSP and NAOMT have played a significant role in distinguishing the company within Nigeria’s sleep industry.
“Mouka’s mission goes beyond manufacturing mattresses and sleep products. As advocates of healthy living, we recognise that quality sleep is one of the fundamental pillars of wellbeing alongside nutrition and exercise. Our collaborations with NSP and NAOMT have enabled us to provide credible sleep education, develop scientifically informed products and promote healthier lifestyles among Nigerians,” he said.
The leadership of both associations commended the achievements recorded through the partnerships and expressed their readiness to deepen future collaborations in consumer education, scientific research, product development and public health advocacy.
One of the most significant outcomes of the engagements was the reaffirmation of the exclusive endorsements granted to Mouka by both NSP and NAOMT. Mouka remains the only sleep solutions brand in Nigeria to enjoy the exclusive endorsement of the two professional healthcare bodies.
The endorsements were granted following extensive assessments of the company’s manufacturing processes, product quality, ergonomic compliance and commitment to consumer wellbeing.
Medical and physiotherapy experts have consistently recognised Mouka’s products for promoting proper spinal alignment, effective pressure distribution and healthy sleep posture, all of which contribute to improved physical health and overall wellbeing.
The continued endorsement further strengthens Mouka’s reputation as a trusted leader in Nigeria’s sleep industry and reinforces its position as a pioneer in sleep health advocacy across the country.
As the company expands its portfolio and continues to innovate, it remains committed to working closely with healthcare professionals, researchers and other industry stakeholders to ensure that more Nigerians benefit from quality sleep and healthier lifestyles.
Mouka Limited, a member of the Dolidol International Group, one of Africa and the Middle East’s largest bedding manufacturers, has been providing innovative sleep solutions since 1959.
Through its range of mattresses, pillows and sleep accessories, the company continues to champion sleep education, wellness advocacy and consumer-focused innovation aimed at improving lives across Nigeria.
