YALI Network Lagos takes step towards mental health awareness


YALI Network Lagos today held a successful Mental Health Awareness Walk aimed at promoting mental well-being and encouraging open conversations about mental health among young Nigerians.
The walk took place from ShopRite Alausa to Computer Village, Ikeja, drawing attention from residents and organizations alike.
This impactful initiative was organized by the Intending Members Cohort (September Edition) of YALI Network Lagos.
The team was supervised by the Programs Manager of YALI Network Lagos, Adeyemi Oluwabunmi, under the leadership of the State Coordinator, Mr. Ojo Semasa. Members of the Programs Committee also played active roles in planning and implementation, alongside other enthusiastic members of the Network.
Throughout the walk, participants interacted with pedestrians and fellow Lagosians, spreading awareness about the importance of mental health care.
The team also encountered other organizations conducting similar awareness activities, fostering a sense of collective responsibility and community collaboration toward mental wellness.
The event underscored YALI Network Lagos’s continued commitment to promoting youth leadership, social impact, and community health through meaningful projects and civic engagement.
