WAASA Founder, Ms. Chi Tola, nominated for Pride Award as ‘Pillar of Support, Empowerment for Women in Agriculture’

Founder and Executive Director of Women in Agricultural Advancement and Sustainability Africa (WAASA), Ms. Chi Tola Roberts, has been nominated for the prestigious Nigeria’s Pride Award as ‘Pillar of Support and Empowerment for Women in Agriculture’.

According to the nomination letter made available to The Mirror, Ms. Roberts will be honoured alongside notable figures, including the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa, Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru, and business magnate Dangote Group.

The event aimed to celebrate Nigerian leaders who have made significant positive impacts in their respective fields.

According to the Facilitator and Chief Executive Officer of First Green White Resources Nigeria Limited, Bonaventure Phillips Melah, Ms. Roberts’ nomination is in recognition of her tireless efforts in empowering women in the agriculture sector over the past two decades.

Her work has inspired thousands of beneficiaries and has contributed significantly to building strong societies, improving farmers’ lives, and creating sustainable food supply chains in Nigeria.

The Nigeria’s Pride Awards serve as a platform to celebrate Nigerian positives, including diverse culture, fashion, and leadership excellence. Gen. Paul Boro (rtd) will chair the occasion, while the Hon. Minister of Information and Dr. Sarah Jibrin will be the Guest Speaker and Mother of the Day, respectively.

A video documentary showcasing Ms. Roberts’ achievements and contributions to women’s empowerment in agriculture will be aired during the awards ceremony.

The nomination is a testament to her dedication and commitment to making a positive impact in Nigeria.
