Victor-Laniyan, Uwadoka, Oloruntoba to grace BJAN Consumer Rights Day event

In commemoration of the 2025 World Consumer Rights Day, renowned sustainability expert Omobolanle Victor-Laniyan has been announced as the keynote speaker for the celebration, where she will shed light on critical consumer rights issues and sustainable practices.
The event is celebrated globally on March 15 to draw attention to the plight of consumers.
It is organised by Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria (BJAN) as part of the association’s efforts to deepen discussions on issues affecting consumers with particular focus on the challenges that consumers face in Nigeria.
The theme for this year’s celebration is: “A Just Transition to Sustainable Lifestyles” and it will hold on March 14, 2025 at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, by 10am.
The theme is aimed at promoting sustainable lifestyles and raising awareness about consumer rights, hence the choice of Omobolanle Victor-Laniyan, who is also the CEO of Kratos Sustainability Consults.
Guest discussants for the event include Victoria Uwadoka, Head, Corporate Communications and Sustainability Lead, Nestle Nigeria; Bankole Oloruntoba, CEO, Climate Change Nigeria (CIC) among other sustainability experts.
Speaking about the event, Chairman, Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria, Daniel Obi, said, “We are excited to have these industry leaders share their expertise with us. Their insights will be invaluable in promoting sustainable lifestyles and protecting consumer rights.”
The event is open to the public, and BJAN invites all interested individuals to attend and be part of the conversation on sustainable development and consumer rights.
