Revealer Online Publisher’s Mother-in-law, Mama Ukim, passes on at 78

The family of Frank Ukim of Uyo Clan in Uyo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State has announced the glorious passage of their beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Mrs. Arit Frank Ukim, who departed this world on Sunday, December 21, 2025. She was 78.

Her transition has been described by family members as the peaceful home-call of a woman whose life was firmly rooted in faith, service and devotion to God and humanity.

Until her passing, the deceased was a devoted member of Quo Iboe Church, Nigeria, where she was actively involved in the women’s fellowship and various church activities.

Her steadfast commitment to spiritual growth and community service earned her deep respect within the congregation and beyond.

Relatives describe her as a woman of humility, compassion and quiet strength — virtues that defined her daily life and relationships.

As a matriarch, she was a pillar within her family, dedicating herself to nurturing her children and grandchildren and instilling in them enduring values of faith, discipline, integrity and love.

“She lived what she believed,” a family source noted. “Mama’s life was a testimony of kindness, prayerfulness and unwavering trust in God.”

Her passing has drawn tributes from family members, friends, neighbours and church associates, many of whom recall her gentle counsel, warm hospitality and consistent support for others in times of need.

Within the faith community, she was regarded as a committed Christian whose lifestyle reflected the teachings she cherished.

Burial arrangements released by the family indicate that funeral obsequies will be held at St. George’s Primary School, Aka Junction, Uyo.

She will thereafter be interred at her husband’s residence at No. 6 Kelvin Lane, Uyo, on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

As preparations for her final rites commence, loved ones continue to celebrate a life well spent in service to God and humanity.

Though her physical presence will be deeply missed, her legacy of faith, love and moral uprightness remains indelible in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Mrs. Arit Frank Ukim is survived by her children, grandchildren and extended family members, who take comfort in the cherished memories and enduring values she imparted throughout her lifetime.
