Prophet Ikuru sues President Tinubu’s aides, IGP, others for N5bn

A dramatic turn of events has unfolded as the founder of Jehovah’s Eye Salvation Ministry, Prophet Godwin Ikuru, has filed a N5 billion lawsuit against key government officials, including aides to President Bola Tinubu, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), and other notable figures.

According to the suit, Prophet Ikuru alleged a breach of his fundamental human rights by the defendants, who include ASP Kamorudeen Olawale Yusuf, the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Barrister Mrs. Abibat Bankole, and DCP Akin Fakorede, head of the IGP Monitoring Unit.

This development marks a significant escalation in the relationship between Prophet Ikuru and the government, considering his past vocal support for President Tinubu.

In February 2024, Prophet Ikuru garnered attention for dismissing claims by 70 other Nigerian prophets who called for President Tinubu’s removal from office, asserting that God Himself had placed Tinubu in power.

Prophet Ikuru’s history of prophesying correctly about President Tinubu’s ascension to office and his continued support despite various challenges have made his actions noteworthy.
