Prophet Eze sheds light on prophetic ministry’s crucial role in church

Clement Emmanuel

Mandated Prophet and General Overseer of Zion Heritage Ministries, Abuja, Prophet Okwudili Eze, has delivered a profound message on the role and responsibility of prophets in the body of Christ.

Drawing insights from the book, ‘The Mandated Prophet’, Prophet Eze emphasized the importance of authenticity and divine calling in prophetic ministry.

In his message, Prophet Eze explained the origin and meaning of the word “prophet,” tracing it to the Greek word “prophetes.”

He broke it down into two components: “pro,” meaning “before or toward,” and “phesein,” meaning “to tell, to show, or to make known one’s thoughts by speaking.”

Combining these, he defined a prophet as one who tells or foretells thoughts, including future events, under divine inspiration.

However, Prophet Eze cautioned that a prophet without the Word of God is merely a puppet.

He stressed the need for scrutiny in prophetic ministries to prevent division and harm within the body of Christ.

“A prophet must have the ability to either preach or teach or do both effectively because the Word of God is the oil that fuels the energy of the prophetic,” he stated.

“The force of the Word of God must be the platform upon which an enviable prophetic ministry revolves.”

Citing Ephesians 4:8, 11, Prophet Eze reminded his audience that God has given various gifts to the church, including apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers.

He clarified that while all believers can prophesy, not all are called to the office of a prophet.

“A prophet is a gift given to the body of Christ for illumination, direction, correction, and all-round blessings,” he explained.

“A prophet is also one who speaks forth under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit without any premeditation or preparation.”

Prophet Eze addressed the challenges and aberrations within the prophetic ministry, attributing them to individuals assuming roles God has not assigned or matured them for.

He urged believers to patiently wait on God to reveal their specific calling and ministerial office.

“Grace would be much more available if we understand the various offices which God has set us into,” he said.

“Every one of us should seek to know what God wants us to do and the office He is calling us into.”

Prophet Okwudili Eze’s message serves as a timely reminder for believers to operate within their God-given mandates and to uphold the integrity of prophetic ministry.

This article was coined from his book, titled “The Mandated Prophet” which continues to inspire individuals to discover and fulfill their divine purpose.

Through His Ministry, Prophet Okwudili Eze is charged with the Mandate of Raising Kingdom Royalties Who Shall Rule And Reign For Christ Across The Seven Mountains Of Influence
