Prince Hamzat boosts community support, security with vehicle donations

Executive Chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government, Prince Usman Akanbi Hamzat, has reinforced community support and security with vehicle donations to traditional chiefs and police stations.

According to the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, Hon. Lateef Oladimeji Salaam, at the council secretariat, Prince Hamzat presented a Toyota bus to the Council of Baales, facilitating grassroots engagement, and two Sienna buses to Pen-Cinema and Red House Police Stations.

Traditional leaders and police officials commended Prince Hamzat’s commitment to security and community development.

The Executive Chairman was represented by Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Fasusi Kolawole A – Mr. Bachel who said that the Toyota bus to the Council of Baales is to facilitate the traditional leaders’ community engagements and to empower them to better perform their roles in uniting and addressing residents’ needs.

In his remarks, Chairman of the Council of Baales, High Chief Adeola Abatan, expressed gratitude, describing the bus as a landmark addition.

“This is the first of its kind, and it will greatly enhance our grassroots movement for community activities,” he added.

Divisional Police Officer, Red House Divisional Headquarters, CSP Kenneth Ogbuefu, and Divisional Police Officer, Pen-Cinema Divisional Headquarters, SP Olatunde Omotayo, each accepted the vehicles on behalf of their stations.

Both officers commended Prince Hamzat’s prioritization of security, acknowledging that the vehicles would significantly aid their patrol and response capabilities.

The DPOs pledged to intensify their efforts to ensure the safety and security of Ifako-Ijaiye residents.

Council-Manager, Mr. Akeem Adesanya, also underscored the Chairman’s vision for a collaborative community, with local leadership and police working hand-in-hand for the benefit of all.

This initiative, he noted, reinforced the Chairman’s goal to maintain Ifako-Ijaiye as a peaceful and progressive locality.“`

The event was also attended by the leader of the Ifako-Ijaiye Legislative Arm, Hon. Victor Oludayo Onifade, along with other Councillors, who commended the Executive Chairman for his numerous landmark achievements in Ifako-Ijaiye.

Hon. Onifade emphasized that Prince Hamzat’s efforts have greatly strengthened community infrastructure and improved the welfare of residents.
