Police Service Commission, NPF to begin screening of 50,000 constable recruits nationwide

Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced that the physical and credential screening of candidates for the ongoing recruitment of 50,000 constables into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) will commence on Monday, 9th March 2026, continuing until 18th April 2026.

According to the Spokesman, Police Service Commission, PSC Headquarters, Torty Njoku Kalu, the exercise will be conducted across designated locations in all states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

All applicants who completed the online registration process are advised to log in to the recruitment portal (npfapplication.psc.gov.ng) to confirm their status and print essential documents, including their Invitation Slip, Guarantors Form, Credential Screening Form, Physical Screening Form, and Application Submission Slip.

These documents must be presented at the screening venues on the dates and times specified.

Applicants are reminded to bring the following items: Original National Identity Number (NIN) printout or card issued by NIMC, O’ Level Certificates (GCE/SSCE)
Birth Certificate or age declaration
LGA/State of Origin Certificate.

Trade Test/Certificate (for specialists)
Completed and signed the Guarantors Form with photocopies and passports of referees.

Original and duplicate copies of credentials neatly packaged in two separate white flat files with recent passport photographs attached
Screening candidates are expected to wear white canvas shoes, white T-shirts, white shorts, and white stockings.

Each candidate’s assigned venue and table number are indicated on their invitation slip.

In a statement, Chairman of the PSC, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (rtd), reiterated that the recruitment process is entirely free of charge and carried out in strict adherence to transparency and accountability standards.

He warned applicants to remain vigilant against online impostors, scammers, or anyone attempting to exploit the recruitment process. Anyone found attempting fraud will be arrested and prosecuted.

The PSC encourages all candidates to comply fully with the instructions and take advantage of this opportunity to join the Nigeria Police Force.
