Okedara presents reviewed committee list, urges members to rally for Tinubu

South West leadership of Consolidated APC Grassroots Movement (CAGrAM) has unveiled a reviewed and expanded committee list for its forthcoming regional summit, in what it described as a decisive move to strengthen unity, inclusivity and grassroots mobilisation across the zone.

In a message addressed to leaders and members across the South West, the South West National Chairman of CaGram, Hon. Kolawole Okedara, said the newly reviewed structure followed concerns raised during the last stakeholders’ meeting regarding the initial committee composition.

According to him, the leadership took the grievances seriously and worked through a resolution process led by the Deputy National Vice Chairman (South West), Hon. Prince Jegede Gbenga, to integrate fresh nominees submitted by state chairmen.

Okedara said the reshuffled list was carefully curated to ensure broader representation and to reinforce what he described as CaGram’s “larger house” under one united banner.

“I am officially presenting this reviewed committee list as a symbol of our commitment to transparency and collective growth,” he stated, while appealing to members who felt overlooked during the initial process to forgive any perceived shortcomings.

He urged members to let go of misunderstandings and focus on the larger objective of deepening the CaGram vision across the South West.

Reaffirming the group’s political alignment, Okedara stressed that CaGram has consistently demonstrated unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC), adding that internal divisions must not derail the progress already recorded.

“Our primary objective remains clear — to carry the CaGram vision into every nook and cranny of the South West. We have always set the pace in our support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and our APC candidates, and we must not allow internal divisions to undermine our collective achievements,” he said.

The Central Committee of the summit is chaired by Okedara himself, with Hon. Prince Jegede Ayodele O. serving as Vice Chairman, Dr. Agbi Stephen as Adviser, and Hon. Tunji Adeleke as Secretary. All state chairmen are members of the central body.

Other committees constituted for the summit include Venue and Accommodation; Finance and Fundraising; Programme and Content; Sponsorship and Partnership; Welfare; Contact and Mobilisation; Media and Branding; Registration and Accreditation; Security and Crowd Control; Protocol; and Logistics.

The Finance and Fundraising Committee is chaired by Chief Otunba Ronke Carew, while the Programme and Content Committee is headed by Prince Jegede Ayodele O. The Media and Branding Committee is chaired by Olori Tomisin Adebukola Ojo, with Rev. Stanley Ihedigbo serving as Secretary.

Okedara charged all newly appointed committee members to immediately swing into action as preparations intensify ahead of the summit.

“To our state chairmen, the time for mobilisation is now. We must return to the grassroots, from the wards to the state levels, to ensure a historic turnout that reflects our strength and unity,” he said.

He further prayed for divine protection over members as they work towards delivering what he described as a landmark South West Summit.

The reviewed committee structure, observers say, signals a strategic effort by the group to consolidate its base, mend internal rifts and present a united front ahead of its major regional gathering.

“With unity, sincerity and collective energy, we will prove that when CaGram leads, others truly follow,” Okedara declared.
