Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association empowers Barrack community in Ohafia

Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA) 82 Division Chapter has commissioned various projects at the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Barrack in Ohafia, Abia State.
The projects, executed by Commander 14 Brigade Nigerian Army Brigadier General Olusola Diya, aim to enhance the living conditions and welfare of the barrack community.
Chairperson of NAOWA 82 Division Chapter, Hajiya Nafeesat Bisola Dada, expressed her gratitude to Brigadier General Diya for his tireless efforts in bringing the projects to fruition.
The projects include the renovation and furnishing of the Garrison Regimental Sergeant Major’s (RSM) House, upgrading of the Quick Response Force (QRF) accommodation, and the establishment of vocational training departments.
The event also featured the commissioning of a children’s playground, named after the National President of NAOWA, Mrs. Mernan Oluyede.
Additionally, the Chairperson presented bags of rice to NAOWA and NASWA members, as well as a set of drums to the NAOWA School.
Earlier, the Chairperson NAOWA 82 Division also paid courtesy visit to the Abia State First Lady Mrs Priscilla Chidinma Otti at their Country home.
The Executive Governor Dr Alex Chioma Otti also appreciates the synergy existing and promise to strengthen the relationship between NAOWA and the State government.
Adding that security continues to occupy prime place in Abia State and under his watch he will support the military to curb criminals out in their hideout and make Abia State a hub for others to emulate.
