Chairman/CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has commended Bashir Agboola on his recognition as Crain’s New York Business 2024 Notable Black Leader in Healthcare.

According to the Director of Media, Public Relations and Protocols, NiDCOM, Abuja, Mr. Abdur- Rahman Balogun, Agboola, Vice President, Associate Chief Information Officer, and Chief Technology Officer at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), has consistently demonstrated excellence and dedication to healthcare services globally.

Dabiri-Erewa praised Agboola’s achievements, noting that his diligent efforts have projected a positive image of Nigeria.

She encouraged him to continue being a source of pride to the nation, expressing hopes that this honour will propel him to greater heights.

Agboola’s notable accomplishments include leading successful technology initiatives at HSS, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.

His leadership ensured seamless patient care through rapid technology infrastructure scaling.

In recognition of his contributions, Agboola was featured in NiDCOM’s +600 Diaspora Icons compendium in 2020.

Hospital for Special Surgery, founded in 1863, is the oldest orthopaedic hospital in the US and a leading academic medical centre specialising in musculoskeletal health.
