Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), in its efforts at promoting Digital Literacy and Skills of young school girls in the country, is organising a maiden edition of the Nigeria Girls Can Code Competition (NGCC) in line with the catch-them-young global initiative.
The event is scheduled to take place as on February 1st, at NCC Head Office’s Conference Hall, Maitama, Abuja.
The NGCC aims to engage girls in secondary schools across the country to debate on innovative ways to address the challenges of food security through the application of fifth generation (5G) technology.
This is in line with the Federal Government’s policy initiative – Nigeria Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (2020-2030), whose second pillar underscores the importance of Promotion of Digital Literacy and Skills among Nigerians.
