National prayers for Edo State governorship election

Our heavenly Father, we thank you for preserving our lives and accord us the privilege to see another governorship elections in Edo State.

As Edo goes to vote on Saturday 21st September 2024, we pray that you touch the hearts of our lecturers, especially Professors and Vice Chancellors who will serve as returning officers during the elections.

We pray God to touch their hearts to remember the backlogs of unpaid salaries of our University lecturers and the dilapidated conditions of our Universities and most importantly our teaching hospitals.

Father, we pray you remove the spirit of rigging in their minds so that the Edo people will vote for the person that will work and fix the Universities as well as pay the salaries of lecturers.

We cast out the spirit of threatening to embak on indefinite strike after helping politicians to rig elections.

We pray that let malaria and typhoid fever tie down all the lecturers and Professors of election rigging during this Edo governorship elections in Jesus name amen.

We also pray that God should give us lecturers, Professors and Vice Chancellors that will assume the position of the Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Technology Owerri during the Abia State governorship elections.

All these we ask through Christ our Lord, Amen.
