Mother seek for N19m to operate three years old baby with hole in her heart

A mother, Mrs. Olokobi Olubunmi Damilola and her husband, welcomed baby, Sarumi Iremide to the family, three years ago.

They rejoiced and appreciated God as family and friends joined them to celebrate the new joy.

But few months later,  the mother noticed that her little angel, was breathing heavily, can’t walk long distance and she squat a lot.

She noticed that her daughter is not growing well, and under weight.

She rushed her to children hospital, for a medical check but the result, stolen the joy in her heart and since then, the mother of one, has been running up and down.

According to medical report dated 25th of June, 2024, with Hospital File Number, No. 004754, at Massey Street Children’s hospital of Lagos State Government, signed by the Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist, Dr. Omotola Majiyagbe, stated that, Iremide, presented three months ago on account of fast breathing, squatting and failure to thrive.

“Clinical examination revealed digital clubbing, central cyanosis and systolic ejection murmur at upper sternal boarder was confirmed, and an echocardiography showed tetralogy of fallot.

“Sarumi Iremide will need further cardiovascular evaluation and surgical intervention to correct her heart defect in order to prevent life threatening complication.

“kindly accord her all necessary assistance you may wish to contact the consultant in charge of further clarification is required”, the consultant emphasized.

The mother,Olubunmi Damilola, appealed to members of the public to assist the family in saving her daughter’s life.
