Labour Party, Nigeria only hope for 2027 election

2023 election, particularly the presidential aspect, demonstrated the strength and spread of the Labour Party.

That strength displayed by the Labour Party, was more than the impact of an earthquake that can sink an entire country.

Having, felt the impact and defeat, the natural reaction to such an exploit by other parties, particularly All Progressive Congress (APC) is to look for a way, including using vulnerable persons and groups in Labour Party to destroy the party. If  their members find it difficult to have their ways into the Labour Party political system .

Labour Party is the only national party in Nigeria.

The APC has different faces, which their leaders like Mohammad Buhari designed for it.  Nationally,  Buhari created the impression that the APC is Fulani and Yoruba party formed to rule Nigeria, and a democratic or deceitful way, to continue the post Nigeria obnoxious policies and war politics against some people, which Bola Tinubu inherited and continued, including making sure some people are not given what constitutionally belongs to them.

In  addition to recruiting his kinsmen, who are using their positions in the presidency and media outlets to abuse other tribes; and attack their leaders, who tried to make case for their people.

They are seeing themselves as the owner of Nigeria and the resources to the extent that no other opinion or input, is necessary except that of their own.

Anti-people politics is flourishing under Babajide Sanwo -Olu, and it seems, its the most important agenda Lagos State government has to accomplish, more than people experienced under Babatunde Fashola’s regime; including telling the non- Yoruba speakers to come and collect transportation money and leave Lagos State.

But the point I want to make is that most of them who are promoting this anti-people politics in southwest, particularly Lagos, generationally lacked the capacity to have makeb it what it  is today.

These are the groups that are targeting some people investments in Lagos State, including the Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa with their aborted bill they wanted to pass in the Lagos State House of Assembly, and Yoruba Obas.  Particularly with their shameful, anti-people incitements and behaviour during the 2023 general elections.

Back here in Imo  State under Senator Hope Uzodinma, the Northerners, Yorubas and other ethnic nationalities here,  are happily going about their businesses, nobody is harassing them , insulting them or making them to feel as strangers or unwanted.

So the APC leaders are yet to show Nigerians whether it is a political party or formed to bring hardship to Nigerians.

This is the contradiction that is deeply present in APC psychology and chemistry.

So because of these contradictions, including hunger and suffering in the midst of selective opulence and abundance, which Buhari first, and their other leaders have built into APC. It’s difficult to explain how the APC is a political party.

Labour Party is the only national party in Nigeria today.  So those who are benefitting from tyranny and corruption, will be averse to it and look for a way to make it another People’s Democratic Party (PDP). A party that destroyed its self through ethnic and religious toxic politics.

Labour party is a strong party and will remain so to support Peter Obi to make the new Nigeria possible.

The only challenge we have is the corrupt and compromised Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and Judiciary. Reforms are urgently needed if another election in Nigeria will make sense. If not there is no need for another election in Nigeria.

Referendum remains the only option, if reforms were not effected, and the INEC and Judiciary are allowed to do again what they did in 2023.
