World’s leading trade fair for horticulture, IPM ESSEN 2025, has concluded with a significant increase in visitors, exceeding 40,000 attendees.

Held from January 28 to 31, 2025, at Messe Essen, the event brought together 1,434 exhibitors from 45 countries to showcase innovative approaches and creative concepts for the future of horticulture.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Messe Essen, Oliver P. Kuhrt, expressed his satisfaction with the event’s outcome, stating that the significant increase in participants is an extremely positive signal.

President of the Central Horticultural Association, Eva Kähler-Theuerkauf, emphasized that IPM ESSEN has demonstrated that horticulture is actively shaping the future.

The trade fair featured a revised supporting program, including the new Gardeners’ Forum, the Horticultural Technology Innovation Center, and the IPM Novelty Showcase. Sustainability played a central role in the supporting program, with the Green Cities Europe Award and the BdB seminar discussing solutions for climate-resistant woody plants.

The next IPM ESSEN will take place from January 27 to 30, 2026. With 86% of exhibitors already committed to participating, and 93% of visitors planning to return, the event is expected to continue its growth trajectory.
