Management of CMC Gladiators of Repute in conjunction with Cornell Entertainment, visited the family of CP Abdul- Waheed Ayilara to commiserate with them on his death.
According to the Founder of CMC Gladiators of Repute, Amb. Cornell Udofia, they expressed their profound sadness and sudden shock over the passage of the Commissioner of Police Akwa- Ibom State Command CP Abdul- Waheed Ayilara whose death occurred on the 29th August, 2024.
“He is a Police Officer per excellence, his dedication and commitment to excel in his chosen career has endeared him to so many of his friends, Colleagues and family alike.
“He was a very dedicated officer who stands for justice, equity and uncommon passion for his duty. Prior to his promotion of his rank to CP and subsequent redeployment to the Akwa-Ibom State Command, his leadership and
approachable to nature made him a lasting impact on the Lagos State police Command and the community he served.
“He was a shining example of a crime burster per excellence, true gentleman with humility, a mentor to so many younger officers and true Nigerian who doesn’t discriminate when dealing with you,” he said.
Amb. Udofia, further said that the CP passage leaves a gaping void that may never be filled.
“He was a liberal cop who gave fair hearing in setting disputes. A rare breed in the policing world. His passage is a monumental loss to the Nigeria Police Force, Lagosian, the CMC Gladiators members worldwide and Nigeria at Large.
“It will be recalled that the deceased police chief exhibited no sign of illness or intending death as interacted with members of our platform during the pull-out parade of the immediate past Secretary of the Nigeria Force, AIG Yetunde Longe retired in Lagos few days ago.
“We console with the entire family of Ayilara, the Nigeria Police Force and all those who had the privilege of knowing and working with this super cop Police officer. The Nigeria Police has indeed lost a senior fine officer, a man of discipline, intelligence, integrity, and champion of Justice. His memory would live on through our continuous commitment to justice, equity and human rights,” he stated.
