From pulpit to pen: Archbishop Danson’s journey of grace

Preparations are in top gear as His Imperial Royal Eminence, Sir, Archbishop Prof. King Benny T. Danson of the Kingdom of Knossos, marks his 61st birthday with a high-profile celebration in Port Harcourt.

The event, which will also feature the public presentation of his new book, “My Tongue, My Life,” is scheduled for Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Rumukurushi.

The forthcoming book launch has been described as one of the major highlights of the day. In “My Tongue, My Life,” Archbishop Danson reflects on his life journey, sharing the lessons, struggles, and victories that have defined his spiritual and leadership path.

According to him, the book is not just a memoir but a testimony of the power of faith, resilience, and the spoken word in shaping one’s destiny.

“This is not just a celebration of my birthday,” Archbishop Danson said while speaking ahead of the event. “It is also a moment of thanksgiving — to God, to my family, and to the community that has walked with me through the years. My book is my gift to the world, a testimony of how words, faith, and truth can shape one’s destiny. I hope it inspires the younger generation to embrace resilience, discipline, and the courage to speak life into their future.” He further added, “At 61, I look back with gratitude and forward with renewed commitment to serve humanity. My life is a story of grace, and this book is a mirror of that journey.”

The ceremony is expected to attract an impressive array of dignitaries from the political, religious, and traditional leadership spheres. Among those slated to attend are former Vice President Atiku Abubakar; the Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara; and the Secretary to the State Government, Chief Dr. Tammy Danagogo, who will serve as Guest of Honour. Also expected are Senator Dr. George Thompson Sekibo, the former Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, Eric Kelechi Igwe, and His Royal Majesty King Apostle Kingsley Innocent, popularly known as Talknado.

Royal fathers will also grace the occasion, including His Imperial Royal Majesty Emperor Nobilis Dr. Solomon Winning, reigning Monarch of the United Kingdom of Atlantis and Atica Empire, and HRH JD Nkppe II (JP, OON), the Paramount Ruler of Alesa in Eleme, Rivers State. The Guest Speaker will be His Eminence Archbishop Dr. Leonard Kawas, President of the Charismatic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN).

The 61st birthday celebration and book launch promise to be a blend of cultural splendour, spiritual reflection, and scholarly engagement, underscoring Archbishop Danson’s far-reaching influence across diverse spheres of society.
