Faith under attack: Oyo State Christian Elders Forum blasts Adelabu

Oyo State Christian Elders Forum has condemned Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu for allegedly attacking Primate Elijah Ayodele, the founder and leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church in Lagos.

Adelabu, a former Deputy Governor of Operations at the Central Bank of Nigeria, has been a prominent figure in Nigerian politics, serving as the Minister of Power since August 2023

The group in a release maintained that Adelabu has no moral ground to attack Primate Ayodele, who is reputed for decades of profound prophetic excellence, and wondered why Adelabu should commission faceless groups to attack the anointed man of God on the pages of the newspaper.

The Christian Elders Forum condemned Oyo State Voluntary Campaigners (OSVC) which faulted the good works of Primate Elijah Ayodele wherein he commented on Chief Adebayo Adelabu’s Governorship ambition.

They said that Primate Elijah Ayodele has one of the biggest churches in Oyo State, and is a man known for his accurate prophecies and a man of great prophetic reputation.

They urged APC not to hand the flag to Adelabu because he doesn’t possess the charismatic desire of a governor.

The release disclosed “Primate Elijah Ayodele has a church in Oyo State, and he is one of the biggest churches in Oyo State.

“Adelabu should stop blackmailing Ayodele.

“Ayodele has never done anything wrong, what Ayodele has just done is a peaceful warning.

“Why can’t you humble yourself and take to the warnings and do the needful?

“Why are you raising taxpayers’ money to sponsor newspaper publications because of one person, a whole minister?

“Power ministry is not working, people are complaining, and you are still ranting when you have not even done the right thing.

“Why are you giving yourself a headache because of Ayodele’s prophecy?

“Adelabu you need to ask for forgiveness otherwise you will lose the coming election.

“We must advise APC not to present Adelabu because we believe in Ayodele’s prophecy that Adelabu won’t win this election,” the release said.
