Esop Ndito Uruan Lagos celebrates 45th anniversary, inaugurates new executive amidst glamour

Esop Ndito Uruan Lagos State Chapter has expressed profound appreciation to dignitaries, stakeholders, and guests who contributed to the success of its landmark triple celebration held on Saturday in Lagos.

The event, which combined the inauguration of a new Executive Committee, celebration of the association’s 45th anniversary, and renewed commitment to community development, attracted an array of high-profile personalities from across Nigeria’s political, security, entertainment, and business sectors.

Speaking on behalf of the organization, the Public Relations Officer, Amb. Cornell Udofia described the occasion as a resounding success made possible through the collective support and presence of distinguished guests and members.

The ceremony was chaired by Akparawa (Otuekong) Ubong Jackson Essien, while notable dignitaries in attendance included Senator Aniekan Bassey, represented by his Special Adviser on Protocol; Hon. Emmanuel Bassey; Akparawa (Dr.) Uwem Idaha; Captain (Otuekong) Augustine Okon; and senior security officials such as Assistant Inspector General of Police Simeon Udofia Akpanudom, represented at the event.

Other prominent personalities present were former DSS Director Dennis Amachree, CP Fatai Tijani of the Lagos State Police Command, Rear Admiral Patrick Effah, Air Commodore Friday Bassey, and AIG Miller Dantawaye, among others.

Traditional, community, and institutional leaders were also well represented, including Surveyor Iniobong Ekpenyong, Executive Chairman of Uruan Local Government Area; Sir Okon Okon of the Akwa Ibom Internal Revenue Service; and several past presidents and stakeholders of Esop Ndito Uruan Lagos.

A major highlight of the event was the recognition and induction of new patrons of the organization, including Senator Aniekan Bassey, Captain Augustine Okon, Engr. Charles Essien, Elder Efiong D. Akan, and Rev. Engineer J. B. Effiong, in acknowledgment of their contributions to the growth of the association.

The celebration also attracted notable figures from the entertainment industry, including actress and producer Amanda Ebeye, comic actor Charles Inogie, and other Nollywood personalities, adding glamour and cultural vibrancy to the occasion.

Cultural displays formed a significant part of the celebration, with the Ekombi dance troupe delivering a captivating performance, alongside the symbolic Ekpe masquerade display, which thrilled guests. Musical and artistic performances from various entertainers further enlivened the atmosphere.

The organization extended special appreciation to media houses, including AIT, NTA, TVC, Arise News, Vanguard, The Sun, and several others, for their extensive coverage and support.

Udofia also commended the planning committee for its dedication and coordination, noting that their efforts ensured a seamless and memorable event. He further applauded the food sampling committee for delivering exceptional local cuisine to guests.
