Edo State Police Commissioner bags two prestigious awards in a single day

Edo State Police Commissioner, CP Monday Agbonika, on Friday achieved a rare milestone as he received two prestigious awards in a single day, in recognition of his exemplary leadership, commitment to public safety, and outstanding contributions to policing in the state.
The event, gracefully anchored by Favour Munachi Agunwa (MOON), unfolded with excellence, elegance, and a seamless flow of activities from start to finish.
The ceremony commenced with an opening prayer led by Ambassador Cornell Udofia, setting a tone of honour, unity, and purpose for the evening.
A major highlight of the event was the special recognition segment. The Medal of Honour was officially presented by Douglas Ogbankwa, Convener of the Security Situation Room, while the main award was conferred by Ambassador Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen — the Guv’nor, the renowned Nollywood Global Icon. Earlier in the day, the Security Situation Room, led by Douglas Ogbankwa Esq., had named the Commissioner of Police, Edo State — CP Monday Agbonika — as the Commissioner of Police of the Year for his “systemic, strategic, and solid” efforts in combating cultism and other crimes.
The award recipient, the astute and crime-bursting Commissioner of Police, Edo State Command — CP Monday Agbonika, FDC, accepted the honours with gratitude, delivering a warm and impactful response, followed by a notable remark that resonated with everyone present.
The event had in attendance notable personalities such as Nollywood thespian Ben Olaye (Jnr.); CEO of Orangewoods Hotels and Apartments, Osarobo Obareye; CEO of ThirdWorld Consulting, Nosa Onaghise; hospitality specialist, Miss Liveth Rukewe; and a Cameroonian TV producer based in Sweden, among others.
After the acceptance speech, Ambassador Cornell Udofia gave his final remarks, emphasizing the importance of service, leadership, and dedication.
The ceremony came to a graceful close with a prayer led by Douglas Ogbankwa Esq., sealing the event on a dignified note.
