Edo election: Obaseki, PDP are failures, Okpebholo is man to liberate Edo State -Prophet Ikuru
Collins Nkwocha
Founder, Jehovah Eye Salvation Ministry, Prophet Godwin Ikuru, has weighed in on the situation, urging citizens not to vote for the Party Democratic Party (PDP) due to its perceived failures and Gov. Godwin Obaseki’s lack of tangible achievements during his eight-year tenure.
Ikuru labels Obaseki’s leadership as “a total failure” and expresses concern that his endorsed candidate, Asua Ighodalo, will only perpetuate stagnation in the state.
Instead, the prophet endorses Mr. Monday Okpebholo, the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate, as the “anointed one” to bring peace, development, and transformation to Edo State.
Ikuru argues that Okpebholo will break the cycle of poverty and bring positive change to the state.
He noted that Edo State has witnessed serious political tension as the tussle between PDP and APC caught the attention of anyone who is politically inclined in the country; even the commissioner of police had to be removed and replaced with another whom the governor of the state, believes is obstinate and doesn’t listen to his orders.
“The Inspector -General had to suspend the activities of local security operatives in the state until after the election and the governor of the state was displeased about this, he finally refused to sign the peace accord and said that the election is “do or die”, he further noted.
