CP warns against over detention of suspects, entertaining civil cases
Speaks tough on involvement in corrupt practices

Commissioner of Police, Kano Command, CP Salman Dogo Garba, has warned against illegal detention of suspects, and entertaining civil cases in the state.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Kano Command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa , the CP convened a pivotal meeting with the Supervising Police Officers of the Command including Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), Tactical Commanders and other Senior Police Officers of the Command.
The meeting was focused on promoting core values of professionalism, selfless service, and accountability.
During the meeting, the CP commended the Officers for their efforts in crime fighting particularly the menace of thuggery (Daba) activities, charged them to be good ambassadors of the Force by exhibiting professionalism, ensuring selfless service and justifying accountability while conducting their duties.
In furtherance, the CP further warned the officers of involving in any form of corrupt practices.
The CP reiterated that the commitment to professionalism, selfless service and accountability is a guiding light towards upholding the highest standard of excellence and strengthening the bond of trust with the public.
He 6. Finally, members of the public should note that their safety and security are the top priority of the Police Command and the Command will remain committed toward providing a safer and more secure environment for all residents in the State.
