APC’s afflictions can only be overcome through coalition -Ezeh, ex-Ebonyi LP Rep Candidate

Labour Party Chieftain and former candidate for the Abakaliki/Izzi Federal Constituency, Dr. Ezeh Emmanuel Ezeh, has expressed strong support for the current coalition being championed by prominent figures such as Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Rotimi Amaechi.

According to him, the coalition aimed to reshape and reposition Nigeria, addressing the country’s socio-economic woes caused by the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership.

He further said that the political move was not just targeted at unseating President Bola Tinubu but to reset the nation’s democracy.

He stated this in Abakaliki, while fielding questions from journalists on the coalition, on Friday, adding it was a move to address the challenges posed by the All Progressives Congress’s style of governance.

He said, “Well, let me correct the wrong narrative being weaved by some APC jobbers. The coalition is not just for removing Tinubu from office. Rather, it is a well-intended effort to reset Nigeria’s democracy and put it on the path of accountability and responsible governance.

“Be that as it may, the level of enthusiasm within the Obedient Movement regarding the coalition initiative is unimaginable. We have always maintained that a unified opposition is not only important in a democratic system but also has become essential to address the challenges posed by the APC’s dictatorial tendencies.

“We do not want to return to the militocracy of the past era, which had civilian structures but a junta at the head of the federal government.

“So, the coalition is central to safeguarding the stability and achievements of Nigeria’s democracy.

“Most Nigerians believe that Tinubu’s APC has destroyed every institution of democratic governance, and gone ahead to unleash hunger, intimidation, as well as compromised most independent agencies and elites on the highway to a party state.

“The coalition’s first success is pressing an emergency stop button on that quest to make Nigeria a one-party state.”
