AFAN President mourns WFAN National Chairman
President of All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) Dr. Farouk Rabi’u-Mudi has condoled with the family of National Chairman, Wheat Farmers Association of Nigeria (WFAN) Dr. Salim- Saleh Muhammad who passed on Sunday.
Mudi, who disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday, described the news of the death of Muhammad as an irreparable loss and sad development.
The AFAM President said that the Late Muhammad, a Jigawa Statesman was a renowned farmer and leader respected globally who believed in the future of Nigeria’s Agriculture Sector.
He added that the late WFAN National Chairman was his mentor and a father to all.
“He is my mentor, he introduced me to association activities, he helped so much during our struggle to rescue AFAN and was a member of the 7 man Committee to name AFAN,” he said.
The president, on behalf of the Association, extended his condolences to loved ones, family and friends, the WFAN and the entire people of Kano, where he is resident.
NAN reports that the late WFAN President, who died on Dec.25, after a brief illness was buried same day in Kano, according to Islamic rite.
