AFAN Benue State Chapter congratulates Farouk Mudi

Benue State Chapter of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) has extended its warmest congratulations to Dr. Farouk Rabiu Mudi on his victory at the Court of Appeal, affirming him as the authentic President of AFAN.

This was announced during a congratulatory visit to the headquarters of AFAN earlier by the leader of AFAN Benue State Chapter, Chief Owoicho Abel Anyebe.

He commended the judiciary for affirming Dr Mudi as the authentic President of AFAN, describing it as a welcome development for farmers in the state and the country at large.

He further said, “We, the members of AFAN Benue State Chapter, are here to congratulate you, our dear President Dr. Mudi, on your victory at the Court of Appeal. We believe this judgment will bring stability and progress to the association, and we pledge our full support to your leadership.”

The delegation prayed for God’s guidance and protection over Dr. Mudi’s administration, urging him to prioritize the welfare of farmers in the state and the country.

They also expressed optimism that his leadership would bring about meaningful development in the agricultural sector, stating Benue has the capacity to feed the nation if given the needed support.

They, however, presented some requests to Dr. Mudi, urging him to address key challenges facing farmers in the state, including access to affordable farm inputs, improved agricultural extension services, and enhanced security.

They believe that with Dr. Mudi’s leadership, AFAN will be able to effectively advocate for the interests of farmers and contribute to the growth and development of the agricultural sector.

By congratulating Dr. Mudi, the AFAN Benue State Chapter reaffirms its commitment to supporting his leadership and working together to improve the lives of farmers in the state and beyond.

Responding, Dr Mudi thanked the delegation for their support and cooperation, especially during the court process, which lasted beyond four years until recently when judgment was announced, promising to prioritise the welfare of members and Nigerians who have waited patiently for the pronouncement.

He assured the team of improved service delivery, focusing on addressing key challenges of the farmers and critical stakeholders in the agric value chain, saying ” a new dawn is here”.
