Eagle 102.5 FM emerges No. 1 Radio Station in Ogun, records 1.5m daily listeners — MPS

Eagle 102.5 FM, Ilese-Ijebu, has emerged as the number one most-listened-to radio station in Ogun State, recording more than 1.5 million daily listeners, according to the latest listenership ratings released by Media Planning Services (MPS).

The rating places Eagle 102.5 FM at the top of radio listenership in the state and marks a significant milestone for the station, which has continued to expand its audience through news, current affairs, music, entertainment and community-focused programming.

The management of the station said the latest rating was a strong validation of the confidence and loyalty of its listeners.
Since its inception, Eagle 102.5 FM has operated under the promise, “Up There With You,” with a focus on credible journalism, quality programming, engaging entertainment and conversations around issues affecting its audience and communities.

Commenting on the MPS rating, the Chairman of Eagle 102.5 FM, Asiwaju Kunle Kalejaye, SAN, expressed appreciation to listeners, advertisers, partners, management and staff for their contributions to the station’s growth.

Kalejaye described the rating as both an honour and a responsibility, saying the confidence of more than 1.5 million daily listeners would place a greater obligation on the station to maintain high standards of broadcasting.

According to him, Eagle 102.5 FM would continue to invest in quality content, people and technology while remaining responsive to the needs and aspirations of its audience.

The Head of Station, Olakunle Balogun, described the latest rating as a defining moment for the Eagle brand.

Balogun said the achievement reflected the hard work, creativity and commitment of the station’s team, as well as the loyalty of its listeners.

“This is a remarkable milestone for Eagle 102.5 FM. To be recognised as the number one most-listened-to radio station in Ogun State, with over 1.5 million daily listeners, is a huge responsibility,” he said.

He added that the rating demonstrated that the station’s audience believed in its content and programming, while challenging the management and staff to continue improving.

Balogun said Eagle 102.5 FM would remain committed to providing substantive programming, credible information, quality entertainment and intelligent conversations while adapting to the changing expectations of its audience.

He also thanked the people of Ijebu Land, Ogun State and listeners across the station’s coverage areas for making Eagle 102.5 FM their preferred radio station.

The management acknowledged the contributions of listeners, advertisers, programme partners, presenters, journalists, producers, engineers, administrative staff and other stakeholders to the growth of the station.
