Legal profession loses influential voice as Barrister Adewale Adeniji dies

Adeniji family has announced the passing of Barrister Adewale Olubiyi Adeniji, a distinguished legal practitioner, businessman and minister of the Gospel, who transitioned peacefully to eternal glory on June 12, 2026, at the age of 61.

In a statement issued by his son, Fikun Adeniji, on behalf of the family, the late Barrister Adeniji was remembered as a remarkable individual whose life was marked by dedication, integrity and an unwavering commitment to the advancement of society.

A proud son of Abeokuta, Ogun State, Barrister Adeniji built an enviable reputation in the legal profession, where he was respected for his intellect, professionalism and passion for justice.

Beyond his legal career, he distinguished himself as a visionary entrepreneur and a devoted servant of God, touching countless lives through his business ventures and ministry.

Describing him as a man full of life and purpose, the family noted that his passion for Nigeria and its development remained evident throughout his lifetime.

“Everyone who knew my dad knew he was deeply passionate about his country and dedicated to its progress and development. His legacy of service and positive impact will continue to resonate through the many lives he influenced,” the statement quoted Fikun Adeniji as saying.
