Delta 2027: Mulade picks NDC Reps form, promises peace, inclusive development in Warri Constituency

A renowned peace and development advocate from Delta State, Comrade Mulade Sheriff, has officially picked the House of Representatives Expression of Interest Form of the Nigeria Democratic Congress to contest for the Warri Federal Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Mulade, a respected Niger Delta environmental rights activist and community development campaigner, expressed confidence in securing victory in the February 2027 general elections to be conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Speaking shortly after obtaining the form, the activist described the moment as a significant step in his political journey and dedicated the feat to God Almighty and humanity.

“I am very happy today for making this possible. I dedicate this form to God Almighty and humanity,” he stated.
The Ibe-Sorimowei of the ancient oil-rich Gbaramatu Kingdom also expressed profound appreciation to the national leadership of the NDC and particularly acknowledged the role of former Bayelsa State Governor, Henry Seriake Dickson, for providing him the platform and opportunity to serve the people.

Mulade noted that his aspiration is driven by the desire to deepen peace, unity and sustainable development among the people of Warri Federal Constituency, which comprises the Itsekiri, Ijaw and Urhobo ethnic nationalities.

According to him, his candidacy represents a new era of inclusive representation devoid of ethnic bias and political segregation.

“I am the right man for the job at this moment. I represent peace, unity, development and inclusive people-oriented representation devoid of ethnic sentiment and segregation,” he declared.

The peace advocate further pledged to promote harmonious coexistence among the various ethnic nationalities in the constituency, stressing that sustainable peace remains the bedrock for economic growth and infrastructural advancement in Warri and surrounding communities.

He assured constituents that he would work closely with traditional rulers, political leaders, stakeholders and community groups to strengthen unity and attract meaningful development to the area.

“I promise to work closely with revered traditional rulers, stakeholders and political leaders within the constituency to ensure sustainable peace that will attract the desired attention of development to the ancient city of Warri and its environs,” he said.

Mulade emphasized that dialogue, constructive engagement and inclusive advocacy would remain central to his leadership style if elected into the Green Chamber in 2027.

He added that Warri, regarded as one of the commercial nerve centres of Delta State and Nigeria at large, deserves a more united and progressive political atmosphere capable of fostering rapid socio-economic transformation.

Political observers believe Mulade’s entrance into the race may further reshape political conversations within the Warri Federal Constituency, especially given his longstanding involvement in peacebuilding, environmental justice advocacy and community development initiatives across the Niger Delta region.
