Oturubo ascends throne as Amabalamowei, expresses gratitude to Kalanama VIII

An illustrious son of the Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, High Chief Tamaraumiyensinde Collins Oturubo has been installed as the Amabalamowei of the ancient Akugbene Mein Kingdom by His Royal Majesty, King S. P. Luke Kalanama VIII, in Akugbene town.

High Chief Oturubo was recently conferred with the revered title at a ceremony that attracted an array of dignitaries from across the state.
Speaking shortly after the conferment, High Chief Oturubo expressed gratitude to King Kalanama VIII for the honour, describing him as a monarch with the fear of God—“one who has ruled his people with wisdom and understanding and has brought honour and dignity to them.”

Continuing, he said: “Humans emanate from the consciousness of God. What inspires God most in humanity is gratitude. Gratitude is one of the greatest virtues that uplifts humanity and inspires generosity for the benefit of all.

“A grateful heart is the beginning of breakthrough and success.”
The Amabalamowei of the ancient Akugbene Mein Kingdom also showered effusive praise on others who, in one way or another, made the event possible.

According to him, “This defining moment is one of deep gratitude. It is an expression of sincere appreciation to all who made this historic event possible. Today, my gratitude flows from the depth of my heart and consciousness.

“My profound appreciation goes to High Chief Kestin Pondi, the Ibe-Benemowei of the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, and the Owena of the Ozoro Kingdom, whose sincere recommendations made this honour possible. High Chief Kestin Pondi embodies selfless leadership, always creating opportunities for others to rise.

As the Managing Director of Tantita, Kestin remains a true symbol of progress, committed to helping others move forward.

“I also express my heartfelt gratitude to his brother, the General Manager of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Tare Pondi, whose recommendation and endorsement played a defining role in this success. I cannot thank these brothers enough. My heart is filled with gratitude.

“I decided to borrow the poetic voice of the Talking Drum of the Niger Delta, Asiayei Enaibo, whose words flow from rivers to mountaintops, valleys to creeks, and through the mangrove world.
