Southern Atlantic University now on JAMB portal, as admission opens for new students

Joint Admission and Matriculation Board ( JAMB) has listed the newly established Southern Atlantic University as one of the choice institutions in its portal for tertiary education from this current admission year.
The chancellor and founder of the university, Pastor Bassey James, who disclosed this in a press conference in Uyo, recalled that the National University Commission ( NUC) had earlier approved the university to kickstart admission of new students, having satisfied all basic requirements expected of a top-flight institution.
The Varsity founder announced that admission into the 15 degree programs approved for the institution is ongoing and advised students to take full advantage of the opportunity to register and acquire a sound education.
Opportunities are open here for students who missed out on their earlier choice of institution, as we are well prepared to give our students both sound academic and moral development.
According to him, ” JAMB has listed our university in its admission portal while the national universities commission has approved the commencement of 2025/2026 academic Sessions and we are starting the admissions and lectures immediately, this October our first semester will start so we want students to take full advantage of this and enroll into the university, get the forms and move into our university and acquire sound education “.
He added, ” Ours is one unique institution going into partnership with some of the best universities in the world, and we are determined to ensure that we sustain the tempo with more innovations.
He also highlighted that plans are underway to give out scholarships to deserving and brilliant students to study in the institution as a way of giving back to society, stressing, “the scholarship program is very dear to my heart.
“The beneficiaries will be carefully chosen from my local government, Mkpat enin, to Uyo, Ikot Ekpene, Oron and others, including non-indigenes. Many students will be touched”
He further averred, “The approved courses include: B.Sc. Accounting,
B.Sc. Business Administration,
B.Sc. Hospitality & Tourism Management, B.Sc. Criminology and Security Studies.
Others are: B.Sc. Political Science, B.Sc. Petroleum Science, B.Sc. International Relations/Diplomacy, B.Sc. Economics, B.Sc. Information/Communication Technology, B.Sc. Microbiology, B.Sc. Physics with Electronics, B.Sc. Computer Science, B.Sc. Software Engineering and B.Sc. Cyber Security
He added that the university was born with a vision to provide quality education rooted in discipline, innovation, and moral values, while equipping students with practical skills to compete on a global scale.
He also announced that the university fees are very affordable and open to all Nigerians, irrespective of their academic qualifications and conducive learning environment.
He highlighted that academic activities will commence in a few weeks as massive registration is ongoing, “We will lead with difference, our graduates will go with appropriate skills to become employers of labor, this is a landmark investment for the future.”
